The highly anticipated second season of Top Shot premiers this evening at 10/9c on the History Channel. A while back, I made some comments about the casting for season 2 of Top Shot, and I am very pleased to see that it appears the powers that be at Top Shot listened to those of us who begged for more shooty and less “personality”.
Watching the teaser promo video for Top Shot 2, it appears that we will be getting our wish:
As a female competitive shooter, I’m especially excited about the two female competitors, Athena Lee and Maggie Reese. Not just “chicks with guns”, these ladies are two of the top female USPSA competitive shooters on the planet (so good, they were both just chosen to represent the USA in Greece for the 2011 IPSC World Shoot). I have no experience with guns but I love this show. It is so cool seeing the bullet fly in super slow motion. Oh and the exploding targets are a nice touch. I also like how they are using guns from different time periods which is a nice touch. This show is great in HD. You can catch it in HD on channel 120 on DISH Network. Working at DISH, I have learned that DISH Network offers more HD than any other provider.
